QR Code Design & Customization

Make your QR codes match your brand with our design options.

Pro+

Color Customization

Foreground Color

The foreground color is the color of the QR code pattern (the dark squares).

Tips:

  • Use dark colors for reliable scanning
  • Make sure there's strong contrast with the background
  • Avoid very light colors that might not scan well

Background Color

The background color sits behind the QR pattern.

Tips:

  • White or light colors work best
  • Ensure strong contrast with the foreground
  • Transparent backgrounds are available for some export formats

Logo Embedding (Pro and Above)

Add your company logo to the center of the QR code.

Logo Requirements

  • Format: PNG, JPG, or SVG
  • Size: At least 100x100 pixels
  • Shape: Square logos work best

Logo Size Options

Choose how much space the logo takes up:

  • Small (10%): Subtle branding that doesn't interfere with scanning
  • Medium (15%): A balanced look
  • Large (20%): Prominent branding for maximum visibility

Logo Shape Options

  • Square: Sharp corners
  • Rounded: Soft corners
  • Circle: Round logo area

Frames

Add a call-to-action frame around your QR code.

Frame Styles

  • Simple: Basic border with text
  • Rounded: Soft corners
  • Circle: Circular frame
  • Phone: Phone mockup
  • Tablet: Tablet mockup

Frame Text

Customize the call-to-action text:

  • "Scan Me"
  • "Scan for Menu"
  • "Get the App"
  • Custom text you write

Error Correction

Higher error correction allows the QR code to work even if part of it is damaged or covered.

Levels

  • L (Low): 7% recovery
  • M (Medium): 15% recovery (this is the default)
  • Q (Quartile): 25% recovery
  • H (High): 30% recovery

Tip: Use higher error correction when adding logos, since the logo covers part of the code.

Best Practices

  • Maintain contrast: Use a dark foreground and light background
  • Test before printing: Always scan your QR code to make sure it works
  • Keep it simple: Simple designs scan more reliably
  • Size matters: Print at least 2cm x 2cm (about 0.8 inches) for reliable scanning
  • Quiet zone: Leave white space around the QR code
